Travels Chapter 5: elle rĂªvait

Film from Paris I developed quite recently,
from my last wander in the city,
soaked before development.
I conquered an array of rooftops this day, a mild afternoon,
scaling the clouds at summers end,
alone and aloft in the world, as sometimes one is.

I've been leafing through the body of work from my these travels,
 everything seems to be violet,
something indigo about my experience.

Travels Chapter 4: Scotland Mist

The first day I returned to Scotland,
it was Tuesday and it rained.
I met two strangers, from other corners of the world,
and together we strayed through mist,
discovered a small haven of violet,
laced with nettles and pretty little yellow flowers.
Each time I visit this country,
I never find it as rough as people say.
It is only gentle and soft.

Forestmen

Maybe spirits,
maybe men,
conjuring a woodland pulse.

(some soaked ektar negatives)

Soleil Fairies.

I happened upon two small, bright fairies,
prancing in a field of flowers,
all of them worshiping the sun together.

(This is an experimental soak of some kodak film,
a technique I've played with the past few seasons.
I fall for the stains and mishaps,
bits of color arranged by chance,
this atmosphere is one you will see frequently from me over the next several months,
as I have several batches in the works.)

Travels Chapter 3: Becky in London

I didn't fall in love with it instantly.
After so long in the calm of the north of England,
London awoke me.
A pulse unsimilar to other cities.
One warm summer dusk.
Becky,
who wore it's force with ease.

Travels Chapter 2: Seascapes

In a lake of lofty giants,
prowing the earth for the vastest of seascapes,
is it not possible to feel
 so minuscule a creature
endeavor with titanic emotion.
